Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Jeff founded the company now known as Neovia in 1988 out of a desire to achieve a greater direct impact with clients. Although he had achieved great success and recognition in the healthcare benefits industry, he saw an opportunity to create a new standard of service by starting his own firm.

From the earliest phase of his career, Jeff saw the importance of exceptional client service. He began at Capital Design in 1984, where he managed the process of developing financial plans for high net worth individuals and companies. In 1987 he joined Aetna as a sales representative where he was awarded “Rookie of the Year” in recognition of his achievements. In both 1987 and 1988, he received the Field Award for Management Excellence (FAME).

Then in December 1988, he left Aetna to start a benefits operation associated with a regional Property & Casualty brokerage/consulting firm. Five years later in 1993, this firm became Integrated Insurance Services, the precursor to Neovia, with Jeff continuing as Founder and CEO.

Jeff promoted his Executive Vice President Jeff Yoos to principal partner in 2000 and together they grew the business based on integrity, individual responsibility and servant leadership. They met the challenges brought forward by their clients and raised the bar of service their clients can and should expect from their brokers.

In 2008, the pair rebranded Integrated Insurance Services as Neovia, or “new way” to further differentiate their firm’s unique position in the market. Jeff remains genuinely passionate about Neovia’s ability to provide solutions to a broken healthcare system and make the process easier for employers, their employees and their families.

Jeff Slay received his Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Fullerton, and resides in Santa Barbara, California, with his wife and children.

Executive Vice President

Although he was originally introduced to the Employee Benefits arena at Unum Corporation, Jeff Yoos joined forces with Jeff Slay, CEO of Neovia, in 1996, because he believed in Slay’s mission to change the health insurance industry. Together they met the challenges brought forward by their clients and raised the bar of service their clients can and should expect from their brokers. Yoos was quickly promoted to Executive Vice President in 1999 and became a principal partner in 2000.

Driven by an unwavering commitment to provide a truly delightful experience to Neovia’s clients and partners, Yoos serves as one of the company’s brand champions. He instills the desire among his staff to provide exceptional client service at every touch point between Neovia and its clients, their employees and their families. “Delivering this type of experience in a broken industry is what makes us truly unique; it’s what separates us from the pack. We explain our commitment to our clients and team from day one and continually reinforce it. That’s how we are able to deliver the kind of results and customer satisfaction that we do.”

Believing that the quality of care Neovia provides is critical to its long-term growth and stability, Yoos emphasizes the company values as a critical component of achieving Neovia’s mission. “We focus on doing the right thing for our clients, taking ownership of their issues and removing obstacles they encounter. Our team takes a personal role to advocate for our clients and their families.”

Jeff Yoos received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Mary’s College, California, and resides in Santa Barbara, California, with his wife and children.
